Cancer Patient Assistance

If you have a diagnosis of cancer and live in Gaston County, we can help. Please call us at 704/864-1271 for more information.

Cancer Services of Gaston County can help pay for cancer related prescription medications as well as other items such as liquid nutrition (Ensure and Boost), soups, and juices.

Cancer Services of Gaston County is funded through our local United Way, The Carrie E. and Lena V. Glenn Foundation, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and donations from individuals. All of our funds stay in Gaston County.

 
Good News About Cancer

You can reduce your cancer risk:

  • Don't smoke or use tobacco in any form.
  • Protect your skin from too much sun.
  • Wear protective clothing and sunscreen of #15 or higher.
  • Eat more fruits, vegetable, whole grain breads and cereals.
  • Increase fiber, decrease fat.
