Education is a major goal of Cancer Services of Gaston County. Our trained professionals or volunteers can bring the good news about cancer prevention/risk reduction and detection to schools K-12, churches, clubs, or businesses. We can tailor programs to meet your needs.

Loan Library: Books, videos and cassette tapes loaned out to answer questions about cancer.

Literature Closet: Informational pamphlets on all cancer sites, treatment, diet and nutrition, prevention/risk reduction, and detection.

Health Fairs: County-wide health demonstrations providing Hemoccult Screening, cancer prevention displays, and self-exam instructions.

Stop Smoking Class: Using three ways to break addiction: nicotine fading, coping skills, and self-hypnosis (nominal fee).
